How Hale collects, uses, and protects your information across thehaleconcept.com and the TrustGym app.
Hale collects the minimum information needed to run the practice. TrustGym stores everything locally on your device — your reflections, journal entries, and coach conversations never leave your phone and are never read by us. The website collects form submissions when you choose to reach out. We don't sell data. We don't run ads.
Hale is a trust practice built by Grant Clarke-Crews. We operate at thehaleconcept.com and publish TrustGym on the Apple App Store. You can reach us at thebelongingcollective@gmail.com.
What stays on your device: Everything you write in TrustGym — your workout reflections, private journal entries, and coach conversations — is stored locally using iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to or stored by Hale.
What goes to Anthropic: When you use the AI coach, your reflection text and a summary of your session history are sent to Anthropic's API to generate a coaching response. This is necessary for the coach to function. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data. We send only what's needed to generate your response — we do not store these conversations on our servers.
What we collect: We collect anonymous usage data to understand how the app is being used — things like which features are used and whether the app is functioning correctly. This data is not linked to your identity.
No account required: TrustGym does not require an account, email address, or any personally identifying information to function.
Contact forms: When you submit a form on thehaleconcept.com — a consulting inquiry, TrustGym beta signup, speaking request, or products waitlist — we receive your name, email address, and any message you include. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists without your explicit consent.
Form processing: Forms on thehaleconcept.com are processed by Netlify. Netlify stores form submissions on their servers in accordance with their privacy policy.
Gumroad purchases: If you purchase The Hale Field Guide through Gumroad, your payment and personal information is processed by Gumroad and governed by their privacy policy. Hale receives your email address for order delivery purposes only.
Analytics: We do not currently use third-party analytics tools on thehaleconcept.com. We may review server-level access logs for security and performance purposes.

We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising purposes. We do not share your information with anyone except the service providers named in this policy (Anthropic, Netlify, Gumroad) and only to the extent necessary to provide our services.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email us at thebelongingcollective@gmail.com.
TrustGym data: Because your app data is stored entirely on your device, you can delete it at any time by deleting the app. We have no access to this data and cannot retrieve or delete it on your behalf.
Email communications: If you've received email from us and would like to stop, reply to any email with "unsubscribe" and we will remove you immediately.
TrustGym and thehaleconcept.com are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy as our products and services evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
